PEER REVIEW POLICY

Peer Review Policy

Peer Review Policy

The journal applies a rigorous, transparent, and impartial peer review process in order to ensure the scientific excellence, originality, and relevance of all submitted manuscripts. The review process is conducted in accordance with international scholarly publishing standards, ethical principles, and the rules of academic integrity.

Type of review

The journal uses a double-blind peer review system:

  • the identity of the authors is not disclosed to the reviewers
  • the identity of the reviewers is not disclosed to the authors

This approach ensures impartiality, objectivity, and fairness in the evaluation of manuscripts.

Manuscript categorization

During the review process, manuscripts are also categorized in line with current academic standards:

  • 1. Scientific papers
  • Original scientific paper – original research with a new scientific contribution
  • Preliminary communication – short presentation of preliminary research results
  • Review paper – systematic analysis of existing literature with critical evaluation
  • 2. Professional paper
  • Presents the practical application of theoretical knowledge, experience, and professional solutions

JEL classification

All manuscripts in the field of economics and business sciences should contain appropriate JEL classification codes in line with the international standards of the Journal of Economic Literature.

Reviewers verify the accuracy and adequacy of JEL codes, correct them where necessary, and indicate them in the review form. The categorization and JEL compliance are proposed by the reviewers and confirmed by the International Editorial Board together with the Editor-in-Chief.

Review criteria

All manuscripts are evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • originality and scientific contribution
  • alignment with the aims and scope of the journal
  • clearly defined research problem and objectives
  • validity and adequacy of the methodology
  • quality of analysis and interpretation

Reviewers anonymously evaluate the manuscript and give a recommendation: accept, accept with minor revisions, accept with major revisions, or reject. The reviewer fills in a form that includes comments, categorization of the paper, and verification of JEL classification.
  • 4. Revisions by authors:
Authors submit the revised manuscript and a “Response to reviewers” document.
  • 5. Review of reports and final decision:
The International Editorial Board and the Editor-in-Chief review the reports and make the final decision on publication.
