Statement on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)

The journal supports the responsible and transparent use of generative AI tools (GenAI) in the process of manuscript preparation. The use of such tools should serve to improve clarity, language, and technical editing of the text, without replacing the author’s genuine scientific contribution.

Permitted use of GenAI tools

Authors may, at their own discretion, use GenAI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot) for:

  • language editing and style improvement;
  • technical translation;
  • checking coherence and readability of the text;
  • suggestions for paragraph structure or clearer wording of sentences.

The use of GenAI tools does not affect authorship and does not diminish the author’s responsibility for the content of the paper.

Transparency

If GenAI tools are used in the preparation of the manuscript, a short note in the text is recommended, e.g.:

“The author used generative AI tools solely for language and style editing of the text.”

This note contributes to transparency and clarity of the workflow, without creating additional formal obligations.

Authors’ responsibility

Authors remain fully responsible for:

  • the accuracy and reliability of data;
  • verification of citations and references;
  • the originality of scientific ideas and conclusions;
  • ensuring that the manuscript reflects their genuine scientific contribution.

GenAI tools are not listed as co-authors and are not considered participants in the research process.

Role of the editorial board

The editorial board encourages authors to use digital tools, including GenAI, responsibly and only to the extent that they contribute to the quality of the text, without compromising scientific integrity.

Where necessary, the editorial board may request additional clarification regarding the use of AI tools in the preparation of the manuscript.
